Heavy-Weight Champ

Big news! Today, Sadie had her 2-year well-baby visit. She is officially 20 lbs (plus 8 oz). One very small step for most babies, but a huge milestone for us! The nurses in the office who know Sadie all too well gave us a little cheer as they heard that we'd hit our mark. I thought I would cry...

Date Night -- Payback

We do a babysitting co-op a few nights a month. It's so worth it, but once in awhile you do have to take your turn watching the kids. I think that we had over 10 kids this time. I put Jake to work hauling them around the yard in our garden cart...we played a few games...then we watched a movie outside (Jake brought home a projector from work). We had a lot of fun (especially knowing we "earned" ourselves two date nights!

Spring Has Sprung--FINALLY!

Easter Post--Again

Here's Easter morning. The kids got Brewers gear from the Easter Bunny. Grandma sent cute new clothes.

Dying Eggs

This is for the sake of grandparents...finally getting up pictures of dying Easter eggs. Notice Sadie's lovely green hands; that was all Jake's doing (good thing she LOVED it)

Easter Egg Hunt

Yeah, I'm so behind...I could win an award. Blogging has very much become a guilty pleasure; I've been trying to get other things done. On the Saturday before Easter, the kids were invited to an Easter Egg hunt at our babysitter's house. They found so many eggs and had so much fun!

Business and Politics

I think we have a little too much business and political talk going on around our house; and it's rubbing off on our kids. Today when I took the kids to the park, Ty was enjoying going down the slide. Later, he stood at the top of the slide and refused to go down. I asked him if he was going to go down and he yelled, "I'm the king of the slide! I have to stand here so no one can go down. Anyone who wants to go down has to pay me money!". I called Jake to relate the story, he of course laughed. We decided though that if Ty is going to be the "king" of the slide, that maybe we should teach him to say "boss" or "CEO"...the "king" charging you a toll to go down the slide is taxation; da "boss" charging you to go down the slide is profit from an amusement park.
